Prince William and Kate Middleton are seemingly planning to leave the bustle of city life for a hidden reason.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have reportedly chosen Forest Lodge in Windsor as their “forever home,” marking a new chapter for their family alongside children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
After three years of living at Adelaide Cottage, allowed the royal couple to see if the area could become their permanent residence.
That is certainly the case, palace insiders have told PEOPLE.
The move to Forest Lodge will be a clear upgrade for the family, proving their intent to settle down near Windsor Castle.
“They like it around Windsor, and they’ve established themselves there,” royal author Ingrid Seward shared.
Adding the couple felt “like prisoners” in their former London residence, Kensington Palace.
"In London, there was a lack of the kind of life that Kate has decided she wants and needs. She wants a country life,” Seward remarked.
The Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom estate surrounded by 150 acres of greenery, seemingly offers an ideal lifestyle to Kate.
