Selena Gomez marks Rare Impact Fund anniversary with heartfelt message of gratitude

Selena Gomez has recently fulfilled a milestone year in achieving a long-standing dream she had cherished for years.

The 33-year-old singer and actress, who launched Rare Impact Fund Benefit in 2020, a charity that supports mental health, marked the fifth anniversary of the organisation this week in Los Angeles, California.

Taking to her official Instagram handle on Thursday, October 30, a day after hosting a major event of the inspiring project, Gomez expressed her heartfelt gratitude in a touching note.

“Last night’s Rare Impact Fund Benefit reminded us how far we have come. What began five years ago as a dream to make mental health resources more accessible for young people has grown into a global community of organizations, leaders and supporters changing lives every single day,” she wrote in the caption.

Discussing the progress of her initiative, the Only Murders in the Building actress noted, “Today, the Rare Impact Fund proudly supports 30 incredible nonprofit organizations around the world, from crisis centers and school programs to community spaces where young people can connect and grow together.”

Gomez added, “To everyone who has believed in this mission, shared your story, or simply cared – thank you. Together, we are creating a world where every young person gets the mental health support they deserve. To say my heart is full is a complete understatement.”

For the special occasion, the Rare songstress wore a gorgeous satin rose-pin mini dress featuring a floor-length train.

This comes shortly after Selena Gomez tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco last month, on September 27.
