When is Andrew expected to leave Royal Lodge?
King Charles removed Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s Prince and Duke of York titles
Despite formally giving up his tenancy at Royal Lodge, it seems like Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's isn’t vacating the residence just yet.
It turns out that his exit has been postponed until early 2025.
According to sources, his transition to the new home on the Sandringham estate is expected to be slow and likely months-long process.
After Buckingham Palace’s shocking announcement on Thursday, October 30, which revoked the 65-year-old’s Royal titles and honours, he is expected to undergo a prolonged adjustment period before officially moving into the residence in Norfolk, as per GB News.
In a decisive move, the King removed his brother Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s Prince and Duke of York titles.
The Palace also confirmed his eviction of the 30-room property he has called home for over two decades.
With his eviction expected to take several months, Andrew is now gearing up for a slow transition from his Windsor home, as arrangements for his new life at Sandringham relocation continue into the new year.
The extended move will conveniently allow the Royal Family to avoid any unease during their traditional Norfolk gathering.
So, instead of settling into the new estate, Andrew will reportedly spend the festive season at Windsor, alongside his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
The setup keeps them roughly 130 miles away from the royal family’s annual Christmas gathering, sidestepping what insiders have called a “potentially awkward reunion.”
