Florence Welch, the powerful voice behind Florence + The Machine returns with Everybody Scream, an album born from pain, healing and resilience.

After a near death experience caused by an ectopic pregnancy in 2023 as she was forced to pause her tour and face her own weakness and from that trauma came songs filled with emotion, honesty and reflection.

The title track, Everybody Scream, opens with Welch confronting the pressures of fame as its bright lights and its heavy shadows.

She lays bare the toxic bond between the performer and the spotlight, singing with the same wild energy that made her a legend but now with deeper scars.

Throughout the record as the singer’s voice rises above strings, chimes and swirling guitars, sounding both aggressive and delicate.

The Spectrum singer uses music as therapy, writing about the cost of ambition as the weight of expectation and the need to keep creating even when it hurts.

In One of the Greats, Welch explores how her artistry is viewed through a gendered lens, pairing cinematic soundscapes with haunting western rhythms.

Meanwhile, the quiet heartbreak of Music by Men captures her exhaustion and defiance as she pleads, “Let me put out a record and not have it ruin my life.”

Everybody Scream is not just another album it’s a testament to survival.

Through grief and growth Florence Welch transforms her pain into power creating a deeply personal and fearless portrait of an artist refusing to stay silent.
