Andrew should ‘come forward and tell us what he knows’: US Democrats

Members of the American Democratic Party are calling on Andrew Mountbatten Windsor to provide testimony in the US.

Per the BBC, “At least four Democrat members of the House Oversight Committee” have stepped up to demand clarification from Andrew due to his association with Jeffrey Epstein, which is also a major issue in American politics. Though it was further noted that “the panel is controlled by Republicans, who have not indicated they would support the move.”

While speaking to the outlet’s Radio 4 programme, Congressman Suhas Subramanyam said, “If he wants to clear his name, if he wants to do right by the victims, he will come forward.”

“Frankly, Andrew’s name has come up many times from the victims. So he clearly has knowledge of what happened and we just want him to come forward and tell us what he knows,” Subramanyam told Radio 4’s Today show on Saturday.

While another committee member, Raja Krishnamoorthi told BBC Newsnight that he wouldn’t rule out summoning Andrew with a legal subpoena, though he shouldn’t wait for one.

“Come clean. Come before the US Congress, voluntarily testify. Don’t wait for a subpoena. Come and testify and tell us what you know,” he said.

At the moment, Andrew is in the process of moving out of the Royal Lodge and has lost his status as a prince as well as a working member of the royal family following renewed scrutiny into his ties with Epstein.
