Kate Hudson reflects on career milestone as she nears 30 years in Hollywood
The ‘Bride Wars’ actress opens up about lessons learned from her three decades in Hollywood
Kate Hudson has recently taken a trip down memory lane, as she nears almost 30 years in Hollywood, sharing the valuable insights which she has learned along the way.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the world premiere of Song Sung Blue during AFI Fest in Hollywood on October 26, the 46-year-old actress opened up about what she calls the “biggest gift” of her long career.
“I think the first thing that comes to mind is the people that I've met, the connections, they always feel like my biggest gifts,” Hudson said.
She continued, “I feel so lucky to be involved in a world of people that are just so endlessly fascinating and intelligent and wild and live outside of — even if they [only] strive — to live outside of the norm."
Hudson, who made her film debut with 1998’s Desert Blue before rising to stardom in Almost Famous, stars opposite Hugh Jackman in Song Sung Blue.
The actress noted that the upcoming project, a biopic inspired by the 2008 documentary of the same name, allowed her to bring together everything she’s learned across her career.
“All I ever wanted to do was musicals,” Hudson said, adding, “This isn’t exactly that, but it feels like everything I’ve studied and worked toward came together in one film and that doesn’t happen very often.”
It is worth noting that Kate Hudson’s Song Sung Blue is slated to be released in theaters on December 25, 2025.
