Jennifer Lawrence gets real about postpartum

Jennifer Lawrence, who welcomed her second child in April 2025, recently got real about postpartum.

During her appearance at the premiere of her new movie, Die My Love, in New York City on the weekend, the 35-year-old actress opened up her difficult postpartum experience with her second baby, in an interview with PEOPLE.

“I didn't really end up having really bad postpartum [anxiety] until my second [baby],” said Lawrence.

According to the Hunger Games actress, she believes the experience provided her with a more nuanced perspective while approaching her most recent project.

“I think that just added another layer. I mean, I don't think that you have to have kids to play a parent by any means,” the Oscar winner went on to say, adding, "But having that information about, you know, what a tiny person needs, and is looking for. Just having that information was helpful.”

For the unversed, the No Hard Feelings performer married an art gallery director, Cooke Maroney in 2019. The couple, who share two children, welcomed their first child, a son named Cy, in 2022.

On the professional front, Jennifer Lawrence will soon star in Robert Pattinson starrer Die My Love, slated to release on November 7, 2025.
