King Charles has issued a statement to share his “deepest sympathy and thoughts” with the passengers who were targeted in a mass stabbing incident on a train in Cambridgeshire, November 1.

Also presented on behalf of Queen Camilla, the King’s commemoration was shared via the royal family’s official Instagram account.

“A message from His Majesty The King, following the attack in Cambridgeshire,” the post’s caption read.

“My wife and I were truly appalled and shocked to hear of the dreadful knife attack that took place on board a train in Cambridgeshire last night,” his majesty’s statement, shared on November 2, began.

He further added, “Our deepest sympathy and thoughts are with all those affected, and their loved ones.”

The somber message was concluded with particular gratitude towards “the emergency services for their response to this awful incident”.

Buckingham Palace’s reaction was recorded following a horrific stabbing incident onboard an evening train from Doncaster to London King’s Cross.

“Armed officers attended and the train was stopped at Huntingdon, where two men were arrested,” the Cambridgeshire police revealed. In the tragedy which saw 10 victims stabbed, nine out of them were said to be in a life threatening condition on Saturday while five people were discharged on Sunday. It was further reported that the police is treating the attack as “an isolated incident”, with charges of “terrorism” currently ruled out.
