Justin Baldoni faces major blow in Blake Lively case
Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively have been embroiled in a legal battle stemming from movie ‘It Ends With Us’
Justin Baldoni's lawsuit against his It Ends with Us co-star, Blake Lively, has been dismissed.
According to BBC, the Jane the Virgin actor and the Gossip Girl alum have been involved in a highly-publicised legal battle stemming from 2024 movie It Ends with Us.
Now, in the latest development, Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit against Lively, has been formally ended by a judge.
According to the ruling, the It Ends with Us actor-director had failed to meet a deadline to continue his claim.
This is not the first time, the judge has turned down the 41-year-old actor’s lawsuit, filed against the 38-year-old actress.
In June 2025, U.S. District Judge Lewis Liman dismissed Baldoni's initial $400 million defamation and asked the actor refile some of his claims related to contractual issues.
The legal battle between the two dates to December 2024, when the Another Simple Favor actress sued her costar for sexual harassment and starting a smear campaign against her during the filming of movie based on Colleen Hoover’s novel with same name.
Baldoni, on other hand, counter-sued his costar, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and The New York Times, claiming civil extortion, defamation and invasion of privacy.
The trial between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is scheduled for March 9, 2026.
