The post quickly went viral with many fans speculating that the costume and especially the song choice carried a hidden message aimed at her ex-boyfriend, Travis Kelce and his fiancée Taylor Swift.

Fans noted Nicole lip synced lyrics such as, “Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?” and “He wasn’t man enough for me.”

Given Nicole and Kelce’s past relationship from 2017 to 2022, many interpreted the performance as an indirect shot.

Nicole’s attention to detail was praised, featuring a split screen comparison to Braxton’s video as reactions were divided.

Critics called the move “classless, with one commenter writing, “Ain’t nothing but single childish women hyping up Kayla Nicole who’s still talking about a man that didn’t want her.”
