‘Regretting You’ tops box office during worst Halloween weekend in decades
‘Regretting You’, latest Colleen Hoover adaptation, rakes in $8.1 million at the box office
Regretting You, led by Allison Williams and Dave Franco, has won box office during the worst Halloween weekend window in 31 years.
The film, which was released on October 23, is the second adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel — the first being last year’s It Ends With Us.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, “‘Regretting You’ placed No. 1 with $8.1 million from 3,245 cinemas in its sophomore outing.”
Furthermore, the movie’s biggest competition so far has been the horror thriller, Black Phone 2. THR also reported that Regretting You beat “the Blumhouse pic by a safe margin” last weekend while the sequel to 2021’s The Black Phone eased into the second spot.
However, the outlet further stated, “Monday will determine the correct order of the Oct. 31-Nov. 2 frame and whether Paramount was being too aggressive in the hunt for a good headline.”
Regretting You, produced by Paramount Pictures, is currently playing in cinemas and also stars Mckenna Grace, Mason Thames, Scott Eastwood, among others.
