Katherine Schwarzenegger lifts the curtain on parenting with Chris Pratt

After opening up about being a step parent, Katherine Schwarzenegger has given fans another rare look into her marriage with Chirs Pratt.

During her chat with People for this week’s issue, the 35-year-old author has revealed that she and her husband are embracing every moment that comes with parenthood.

The couple have three kids together, Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, with the 46-year-old actor also sharing a 13-year-old son Jack with ex-wife Anna Faris.

"We do a really good job communicating," she stated.

"It's something that was really important to both of us from the beginning and continues to be really important to us as life gets busier and crazier, especially as you add more children into the mix."

She also noted that her bond with the Parks and Recreation alum has only grown stronger over the years as they "balance each other out really well" as parents. 

"He has a lot of strengths that I don't have, and I have certain strengths that maybe he doesn't have," Katherine went on to admit.

Continuing, "We are a great team. I think it's always keeping in mind that we're a team and that we're doing our best to tackle all the different things."

Katherine previously also opened up to the outlet about becoming a stepmom, saying she had learned so much from the experience, and described it as a "wonderful" thing.

"It's a blessing for me to be able to be in the role of a parent and also a stepparent," she expressed.

"A lot of people aren't able to do or experience both," the author remarked. "I feel really grateful to be able to experience both and continue to learn a lot and grow in both of those spaces."
