Ella Hooper recently made a heartbreaking confession about her mental health.

The Killing Heidi lead singer, while revealing her struggles with mental health in Support Act's Outside In podcast, opened about what affected her mental health the most.

According to the 42-year-old singer, losing her parents Jeremy and Helen to cancer in 2022 had a profound effect on her mental health.

“I’ve always identified as a really strong person and somebody who doesn't need much help,” said Hooper, adding, My mum had a long cancer journey and my dad had a sudden, shocking and surprise cancer journey.”

The With a Little Help from My Friends singer added that her father actually ended up dying two weeks before her mother, even though they had been preparing to say goodbye to mother for a year or more.

According to the Leave Me Alone songstress, coping with such a huge loss had been "surreal".

In the end, Ella Hooper revealed that she is still swimming through a pretty surreal period in her life, and waiting to feel normal again.
