Kensington Palace makes key decision about Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton set to take on major Royal duty
In an update shared by Kensington Palace, Kate Middleton is set to attend the Armistice Day commemoration at the National Memorial Arboretum's, where she will take part in the nation’s Service of Remembrance at the Armed Forces Memorial.
At 11 am, on November 11, the 43-year-old Princess of Wales will join attendees in the traditional two minute silence with fellow attendees as well as lay a wreath honouring those who sacrificed their lives in military service and acknowledge the efforts and service of all members of Britain’s Armed Forces.
Adding to the tribute, poet Arji Manuelpillai will present a newly commissioned piece that honours the deep, emotional connections and shared experiences created through military service.
His work reflects on bonds and lived experiences that were forged from service, highlighting the sentiments close to Princess Kate’s heart.
The ceremony will also be enriched with moving performances by Talent in the Ranks and Black Voices.
When the service nears its end, Kate will pay her respects to the latest inscriptions on the memorial before moving on to meet veterans who have gathered for the occasion.
Moreover, she will also engage with secondary school students who come from from military families, whose parents are currently on deployment, to reflect the often unseen, but important contribution of Service families.
Kate will then end her visit by exploring the Arboretum’ special exhibition, Letters from the Frontline- Words, War and Victory.
