Rapper Young Bleed, who helped put Baton Rouge hip-hop on the map in the late 1990s, has died at 51 after suffering a brain aneurysm.

His son, Ty’Gee Ramon, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram, revealing his father “gained his wings” on Saturday.

Ramon said the rapper, born Glenn Clifton Jr., had hypertension but no major health issues prior to his sudden collapse.

Young Bleed was reportedly hospitalized and placed on a ventilator after suffering internal bleeding.

The medical emergency occurred just days after his praised performance at the Cash Money Verzuz No Limit event at ComplexCon in October.

The mother of his 10-year-old son, Tameka Long (aka Madamm Meek), told TMZ that doctors confirmed the aneurysm was linked to his existing heart condition.

A GoFundMe page was launched by his mother to help with medical and funeral costs.

Young Bleed rose to fame with Master P’s 1997 soundtrack I’m Bout It and his 1998 gold-certified album My Balls and My Word, which reached the Billboard 200 Top 10.
