Ariana Grande breaks her silence after missing 'Wicked' Brazil premiere
The ‘Wicked’ actress urges fan for understanding following Wicket Brazil absence
Ariana Grande has urged her fans to not “wish danger” on her following a sudden change of plan that was not under her control.
In an unexpected turn of events, the 32-year-old singer took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 4, to share that she and her team had to “deplane” due to a last-minute “safety issue.”
That is why she wasn’t able to join her cast members in São Paulo, Brazil for the event that kicks off the Wicked: For Good global premiere tour
Responding to fans' disappointment over her absence, Grande said in a now-deleted Instagram Story, requesting, "Please don't wish danger on us."
"no matter how upset or disappointed you are, please please do not wish danger on us or assume that we didn't try," the Positions songstress wrote. (sic)
Sharing that she had been looking forward to joining the Brazilian fans for a year, Grande explained her schedule and reiterated that the plane "had a safety problem and i have explained why finding another option was impossible.."
"please know how disappointed i am. sending lots of love to you all i hope it's a beautiful and safe night. i love Brazil, i always have, i always will," she concluded. (sic)
It is worth noting that Wicked: For Good, in which Ariana Grande portrays Glinda, is slated for release on November 21, 2025.
