Prince William’s Brazil visit shines as Leonardo DiCaprio makes surprise appearance
Prince William partners with Leonardo DiCaprio for Wildlife Summit in Brazil
Prince William’s recent trip to Brazil has caught everyone’s attention, especially after an unexpected Hollywood A-lister becomes a surprising part of it.
On Tuesday, November 4, the Prince of Wales was joined, via a video message, at the United for Wildlife Summit by none other than Leonardo DiCaprio.
In the attention-grabbing clip, DiCaprio urged the global leaders to take urgent and timely action before it’s too late.
"Nature is our most powerful solution," he said in the video, which was also published on his Instagram account.
The Titanic actor added, “I urge world leaders to unite with courage and ambition because the world depends on it.”
At the summit, Prince William also delivered a speech about his Earthshot Prize, which he noted "will honor some of the most inspiring people and solutions to our planet’s greatest challenges."
He continued, “Our task here today is clear: We must put a stop to the criminal networks driving environmental crime and destruction. We must stand alongside those who, every day, are standing up and defending nature. We must recognize and celebrate these protectors, not just in words but through our actions. And we must act together."
"Governments, businesses and civil society — each must now step up and play their role in developing solutions, scaling support, and shifting resources to where they are needed most," the father of three added.
William stated, "As we look ahead to COP30 in the Amazon, let us carry our determination forward… united in purpose, bold in ambition, and unwavering in our commitment to a safer and healthier world."
It is worth noting that the fifth annual Earthshot Prize awards ceremony will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on November 5, 2025, at the Museum of Tomorrow.
