Prince William visits iconic Brazilian landmark ahead of Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony
Earthshot Prize recounts day three in Brazil before its awards ceremony scheduled today
Prince William is continuing his exploits in Brazil ahead of his much-teased appearance at the 2025 Earthshot Prize Awards today, November 5.
Since arriving in the Latin American country, the Prince of Wales has completed several engagements, including receiving the keys to its capital from Mayor Eduardo Paes.
Now, the Earthshot founder is recording a visit to the noted landmark in Rio — a gigantic statue of Jesus Christ — called Christ the Redeemer.
One slide of the Instagram stories currently shared by the official account of Kensington Palace included a polaroid shot of the iconic sculpture, part of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Honouring the roots of Brazil, it was captioned “Cristo Redentor” in the country’s official language, Portuguese.
Furthermore, a joint post shared on the platform by the royal profile and Earthshot Prize detailed the third day of action for the foundation’s team in the richly tropical state.
Musician Seu Jorge and TV presenter Luciano Huck represented the country in the latest footage shared by the environmental institute.
Meanwhile, Prince William will shortly make a solo appearance at the Earthshot Prize Awards at Rio de Janeiro’s Museum of Tomorrow.
