Blake Lively recently suffered a setback in a separate case after the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by her It Ends with Us costar, Justin Baldoni.

Recently, Judge Lewis Liman dropped Lively’s claims against social media guru, Jed Wallace in a legal lawsuit.

For the unversed, the social media guru was included in the Gossip Girl alum’s lawsuit filed against her costar.

In the latest development, Judge Lewis Liman on Wednesday, November 5, ruled that Wallace “falls outside his court's jurisdiction because he lacks sufficient connection to New York to be sued there”.

According to the judge, the 38-year-old actress could still decide to sue the Texas based social media guru.

Wallace filed his own defamation suit against Lively in Texas back in February 2025, three months after being sued by the Another Simple Favor actress.

In her lawsuit, the wife of Ryan Reynolds claimed that the social media strategist was hired by the Jane the Virgin actor's team to help smear her online during the release of It Ends with Us in 2024.

Lively also alleged that Wallace was part of a coordinated effort to "weaponize a digital army" and create content that would harm her reputation on social media platforms like Reddit.

Meanwhile, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni are set to face off in a trial scheduled for March 2026.
