‘KPop Demon Hunters’ fans gets exciting news

KPop Demon Hunters recently got a game-changing update.

A sequel to Netflix‘s hit animated movie, as per Deadline, has been officially been greenlit by Netflix and Sony, just a few months after its release.

Creator-director, Maggie Kang and co-director, Chris Appelhans are set to return for the sequel.

Within just two days of its release, the movie ranked No. 1 globally, topping the charts in 26 countries while ranking in the top 10 in 93 others.

Premiered on August 23, the animated movie became a global phenomenon, becoming the most watched film in Netflix history.

In addition to topping the giant streamer charts, its soundtrack has spent several weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

The plot of the movie surrounds a group of internationally renowned singers who lead a double life as demon hunters.

Moreover, plans for its sequel were being discussed as early as August 28, just days after the original film’s release.

KPop Demon Hunters 2 is slated to release sometime in 2029.
