Aimee Lou Wood and Angelina Jolie’s on-set bond: Wood recalls new co-star’s support
Angelina Jolie and Aimee Lou Wood are set to appear in upcoming comedy ‘Anxious People’
Aimee Lou Wood has shared a heartfelt experience with her new co-star, Angelina Jolie.
The two actresses have been filming Anxious People, an adaptation of a 2019 Swedish novel of the same name. Lou Wood detailed Jolie’s support during the shooting of a particularly emotional scene on the film’s set.
While receiving overwhelming direction from multiple crew members during filming, the White Lotus star began to panic.
“I’ve spent years feeling unable to say anything like that for fear of seeming argumentative – but now I feel like I can take ownership of what I need to thrive, and tell people what won’t work for me,” she told Harper’s Bazaar regarding the incident.
Lou Wood’s stand on the set, she further shared, was visibly supported by her senior co-actor — “When I spoke up, all I could see was Angelina giving me a thumbs up. She’s possibly the most famous woman ever, but she’s so normal,” she revealed.
Aimee Lou Wood’s pairing with Angelina Jolie, Anxious People, began shooting in September. Though a release schedule about the developing production is currently unavailable, Lou Wood has also been cast in one of the four Beatles biopics as Pattie Boyd, George Harrison’s wife.
