Oprah Winfrey calls Meghan Markle ‘my neighbour’ in her annual list of favourite things
A celebrated staple of Meghan Markle’s As Ever is its line of jams and fruit preserves, and it appears that Oprah Winfrey is one of its many fans.
Among the items listed in the annual catalogue known as “Oprah’s Favourite Things”, the prominent media personality has also chosen As Ever’s newly released gift box which contains raspberry, strawberry and orange preserve.
“Before my neighbour Meghan started her business, she shared her homemade recipes with us. I love to drizzle it on an English muffin or yogurt or ice cream,” Winfrey described the selection.
She also praised the “pretty box set” of the lifestyle brand’s products, adding that it just needs “a bow and you’re ready to go.”
After receiving Winfrey’s resounding support, Meghan’s company celebrated the achievement in its latest newsletter, sharing that As Ever is “honoured to be included” on the list.
For the record, Meghan Markle has enjoyed a comfortable dynamic with Oprah Winfrey for a long time now, with the former once describing the multi-hyphenate celebrity as “a mentor and friend”. The Duchess and her husband, Prince Harry, were platformed by Winfrey for their first televised interview after stepping down as working royals, in 2021.
