HBO’s new legal drama 'War' adds Emma Laird to cast lineup

Emma Laird is set to share the screen with Dominic West and Sienna Miller in the upcoming HBO and Sky legal drama War, according to Deadline.

Currently in production, the series comes from George Kay, the mind behind Apple TV’s hit show Hijack.

Set in the cutthroat world of top tier legal circles of London, the plot follows two rival firms, Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, as they clash over high profile divorce cases that dramatically disrupts the boardrooms and courtrooms.

The 28-year-old actress, who has starred in A Haunting in Venice, The Brutalist, Mayor of Kingstown, The Crowded Room and more, will take on the role of Molly Giordano, a trainee associate at Taylor & Byrne, Deadline reported.

She works alongside her best friend Saeed, who holds the same position as her but with only one end-of-year contract up for grabs, their close bond is tested by constant competitiveness.

Emma will also be seen in Sony’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, set to release on January 6, 2026.

War marks the latest collaboration between HBO and Sky following previous joint success like Chernobyl, The Young Pope, and The Baby.
