Prince Harry recently apologised to Canada for a past fiasco, stemming from his earlier visit to the country.

For the unversed, the Duke of Sussex faced immense backlash over his trip to the country after he was caught on camera cheering for the Los Angeles Dodgers instead of the home team, the Toronto Blue Jays.

Now, while offering a sincere apology, the prince, who is in Toronto for Remembrance Day events — the U.K.’s equivalent of Veterans Day, expressed that he would like to apologise to Canada.

It all started when he was asked in an interview with CTV News on Thursday, November 6, "Is there anything you would like to say about wearing that L.A. Dodgers hat last week and getting into hot water?"

To which, Harry responded, "Oh, the L.A. Dodgers hat — hatgate. Well, firstly, I would like to apologize to Canada for wearing it."

He went on to say, "Secondly, I was under duress. There wasn't much choice.

"I was invited to the L.A. Dodgers box or the dugout by the owner himself. So, I was doing what I thought was the polite thing to do."

Moreover, Prince Hary, who was seen wearing switching to a Blue Jays hat in the interview, shared, "I'm going to wear this from now on to make sure I don't make any more of those mistakes."
