Katy Perry has seemingly broken her silence about her sudden breakup with Orlando Bloom in her newly released track.

On Thursday, November 6, the 41-year-old singer dropped her single Bandaids, marking her first release since ending her nine-year romance with the 48-year-old actor.

Katy released her latest song alongside a cinematic music video directed by Christian Breslauer.

The video begins with her dropping a ring down a kitchen drain before enduring a series of mishaps, ultimately ending in a gas explosion.

In the video, the camera also lingers on a daisy, a subtle nod to the former couple’s 5-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

“Hand to God I promise I tried / There's no stone left unturned / It’s not what you did / It’s what you didn’t / You were there but you weren’t," Katy sings in the introduction.

She continues, "Got so used to you letting me down / No use trying to send flowers now / Telling myself you’ll change you don't / Bandaids over a broken heart."

"If I had to do it all over again / I would still do it all over again / The love that we made was worth it in the end," the mother of one adds in the lyrics."

The song reflects heartbreak and acceptance, with the singer concluding, "Tried all the medications / Lowered my expectations / Made every justification / Bleeding out, bleeding out, bleeding out slow / Bandaids over a broken heart.”

It is worth noting that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom started dating in 2018 and got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019. A year later, they welcomed their daughter.

As of now, the E.T singer is reportedly dating the former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
