Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer have finally broken their silence on the recent bullying claims involving Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter at the show’s premiere, the Duffer brothers were asked about the claims that had taken the internet by storm.

“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal onset matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy,” co-creator Ross stated.

It is important to note that Stranger Things director and executive producer Shawn Levy also shed light on the matter, revealing how the production handles a bullying complaint on set.

He said, “You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”

“I’ve read a bunch of stories and they range from wildly inaccurate to… there’s so much noise around it. But the truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, and so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been bedrock,” Shawn added.

Despite the online speculation about Millie and David’s alleged strained relationship, the pair were seen hugging and smiling at the Stranger Things final season world premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday, putting the rift rumours to rest.

Stranger Things season 5 will drop on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, followed by three episodes on Christmas Day and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
