Robert Pattinson joins cast of ‘Dune: Part Three’

Robert Pattinson has casually confirmed his role in Dune: Part Three, ending months of speculation about his involvement in Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi franchise.

Speaking to IndieWire while promoting his new film Die My Love alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Pattinson dropped the news without any official announcement from the studio.

“When I was doing Dune it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything,” he said. “It was so relaxing. My brain wasn’t even operating. I was just listening to Denis: ‘Whatever you want!’”

Though Pattinson didn’t reveal his character, earlier reports suggested he’s been eyed for the role of Scytale, the shapeshifting villain from Dune: Messiah, on which Part Three will be based.
