Taylor Swift snubbed from 2026 Grammy Awards?
Taylor Swift's album 'Life of a Showgirl' left out from 2026 Grammy nominations
In a surprising turn of events, Taylor Swift’s hit new album The Life of a Showgirl failed to secure a Grammy nomination.
Announced on Friday, November 7, this year’s nominations celebrate artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Lady Gaga, Chappell Roan, but the 35-year-old pop-icon’s album was missing from the list.
The Fate of Ophelia hitmaker holds 14 Grammys to her name and has been recognised six times at the 2024 awards ceremony for her album Tortured Poets Department.
But, the reason why Taylor’s iconic album The Life of a Showgirl was left out from the nominations for the 2026 Grammys is that she didn't release singles, records, albums or videos during the eligibility period, which ran from August 31, 2024, to August, 30, 2025.
Her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, arrived on October 3, 2025, making it eligible for the 2027 Grammys instead.
For the unversed, during the European dates of her 2024 Eras Tour, Taylor wrote and recorded her new album, drawing inspiration from her life on the road and her relationship with fiancé Travis Kelce.
