David Harbour breaks down a fond ‘Stranger Things’ memory with Millie Bobby Brown amid controversy
David Harbour has recently opened up about a memorable moment on set with Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard during Stranger Things.
Speaking to PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere on Thursday, November 6, the 50-year-old actor shared a behind-the-scenes story where his “very irresponsible” behavior on set delayed a crucial scene for “an hour.”
“If you watch [the] behind the scenes of season 3, I'm sitting there with Finn and Millie on the bed and I say to Finn — I'm very angry at Finn and I'm like, ‘You got to get home because I don't want him in bed with my daughter.’ And I'm like, ‘You got to get home.’ And he goes, ‘Why? What's the matter?’ And I go, ‘It's your grandma,’" David said.
He further explained, “And I just, for some reason, that particular line, I couldn't say it for like an hour.”
The Thunderbolts star continued, “And I laughed and laughed and laughed to the point where the children, Millie and Finn, were like, ‘What is wrong with you? We need to get to work.’ ”
Recounting the incident, David said he later apologised to Millie and Finn for making things difficult for them.
Regardless, the memory remains a cherished one for him throughout the long journey of the hit show.
“If you watch that thing, that really is probably one of my favorite memories because I'm a pretty responsible guy when I go to work, but I was very, very irresponsible that day,” he mentioned, adding, “And yeah, it was amazing.”
This comes after reports suggested that Millie accused David of bullying on the set of Stranger Things.
Despite online speculation about the duo’s alleged strained relationship, the pair were seen hugging and smiling at the Stranger Things final season world premiere, putting the rift rumours to rest.
Notably, Stranger Things season 5 will drop on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, followed by three episodes on Christmas Day and the finale on New Year’s Eve.
