Arnold Schwarzenegger names the only movie of his he wished got a remake
There is only one Arnold Schwarzenegger movie he longed to be remade, and now his wish has finally come true.
At the premiere of 2025 The Running Man, a remake of his 1987 film of the same name, the 78-year-old actor joined the young star Glen Powell and director Edgar Wright.
Talking to the 51-year-old English filmmaker and the 37-year-old actor, The Terminator actor revealed, "The only movie that I always wanted to have redone of my movies was The Running Man."
He went on to praise Edgar’s rendition of the original film, saying, "So now, this one really upped it and did exactly that. The action was unbelievable and creative."
Directed by Paul Michael Glaser, the original film was loosely adapted from Stephen King’s book, penned as Richard Bachman, and featured Schwarzenegger with María Conchita Alonso, Richard Dawson, Yaphet Kotto, Jim Brown, and Jesse Ventura.
Now, almost 40 years later the Hit Man star has taken on Arnold’s previous character, Ben Richards, with his own unique twist.
Alongside Glen, the remake also stars William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Colman Domingo, Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Daniel Ezra and Jayme Lawson.
The Running Man is set to hit the theaters on November 12, 2025.
