Sydney Sweeney shares emotional reaction to playing Christy Martin in new film

Sydney Sweeney recently shared a heartfelt reaction to her powerful portrayal of boxer Christy Martin, in Christy.

Taking to her Instagram account on Saturday, November 8, the 28-year-old extended immense gratitude over the success of her newly released film.

"Filming @christy.movie will stay in my heart forever. I walked onto set every day surrounded by a crew that poured their hearts and souls into this story," Sweeney captioned the post.

She further shared, "I fought alongside a group of women who became my family. We trained harder than we ever thought we could, then we would end up singing our hearts out on the ring floor."

"Christy Martin inspired all of us to step into our power. Her story made us fight harder for ourselves and for every woman who has ever been silenced," the Euphoria star stated.

Toward the conclusion, Sweeney thanked the director of the movie, David Michôd, for giving her a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the form of Christy.

She went on to describe her experience as “painful, joyful, resilient, and beautiful.”

It is worth noting that Sydney Sweeney’s latest movie, Christy, is a biopic of renowned female boxer Christy Martin and premiered in theaters on November 7.
