Pete Davidson surprises ‘SNL’ viewers after revealing his one condition for returning

Pete Davidson made a surprise appearance during the latest episode of his former show, Saturday Night Live, on November 8.

The ex-SNL alum joined fellow comedian Colin Jost on Weekend Update, where the duo took a jab at multiple subjects, including the purchase of their now-decomissioned Staten Island ferry.

“So yeah, in case you’re wondering why I had to do a show in Saudi Arabia, we’re losing millions on this ferry,” Davidson teased, referencing his controversial participation in the Riyadh Comedy Festival, which concluded last month.

The comedian and actor further acknowledged the baby he has on the way with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt — “I’m just excited to be a dad and give it all the energy and enthusiasm I never had for this show,” he quipped.

Davidson had previously shared that he would always return to SNL whenever series creator Lorne Michaels reaches out to him.

“I owe that guy my life. He jumpstarted everything. So I’d do anything for Lorne, and he knows that,” he told PEOPLE.

For the record, Pete Davidson had been a regular member of Saturday Night Live for eight seasons, between 2014 and 2022.
