Lily Collins recently shared an update on her forthcoming movie, Close Personal Friends, but fans were quick to notice that the actress made no mention of Meghan Markle, who is also expected to appear in the film, sparking rumours of tension between the two.

For those unversed, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted filming on November 5 in Pasadena, California, for the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios blockbuster.

The project marks the 44-year-old’s first acting role since leaving Suits in 2017, shortly before her engagement to Prince Harry.

Taking to her Instagram account on Saturday, November 8, Lily revealed that she had wrapped the filming on her comedy-adventure movie.

In the three-slide carousel, the 36-year-old actress included her castmates, Brie Larson, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding, excluding Meghan, who has a cameo appearance.

“Beyond grateful for these three, and the entire cast and crew who made this such an amazing, truly special experience. Thank you @jasonorley for bringing us all together. I feel incredibly lucky to have shared this with you guys. So much love and laughter that I’ll remember and cherish,” the Emily in Paris star wrote.

Close Personal Friends, directed by Jason Orley and written by Isaac Aptaker, centers around “one couple that meets and befriends a celebrity couple while on a trip to Santa Barbara. Personal lines get crossed, among other things, and awkward hilarity ensues.”

It is worth noting that the release date of Close Personal Friends is yet to be announced.
