Elon Musk has admitted that the goals tied to his record-breaking $1 trillion Tesla compensation package are extraordinarily difficult to achieve, calling them a “tall order” in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

The Tesla CEO acknowledged that the targets, which must be met for him to receive the full payout, would require “a truly immense amount of work” and warned that there will be “bumps along the way.”

Musk reminded followers that anyone can “join the ride” by investing in Tesla stock, noting that the plan is structured so he earns nothing unless the company delivers historic performance.

To unlock the full $1 trillion package, Musk must guide Tesla through a series of bold milestones: delivering 20 million electric vehicles annually, putting one million robotaxis on the road, selling one million Optimus humanoid robots, and securing 10 million active Full Self-Driving subscriptions.

It should be noted that the shareholders approved the package on November 6 with more than 75% support during Tesla’s annual meeting, a result that could eventually make Musk the world’s first trillionaire.

At the same event, Musk confirmed that Tesla will unveil the long-awaited Roadster in 2026 and outlined plans to scale its robotaxi program, signalling Tesla’s intent to dominate both AI and next-generation mobility.
