Sean 'Diddy' Combs sets record straight with prison booze controversy
Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been accused of secretly consuming alcohol in prison
Sean "Diddy" Combs, who has recently been accused of secretly consuming alcohol in the new prison, is finally addressing the latest controversy linked to the rapper’s name,
It’s worth mentioning here that the disgraced music mogul, according to TMZ, was allegedly caught drinking homemade alcohol in prison, on November 7.
Now, while addressing the claims of the rapper drinking a concoction made from Fanta soda, sugar and apples, which is then left to ferment for two weeks, Combs’ spokesperson turned down the report, labelling it as “false”.
In a statement to PEOPLE, the spokesperson said, “There have been several false and reckless reports circulating about Mr. Combs."
He went on to address, "He has not violated any prison rules. His sobriety and self-discipline are priorities, and he is taking them seriously.
"This is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix, and unfortunately, rumors will surface throughout his time there.
"We ask the public and the press to give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth, and the grace to move forward in peace."
The news of the 55-year-old rapper being caught in the booze controversy comes a few days after he was transferred to a new prison.
Combs, who had previously been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, is now currently imprisoned at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix (FCI Fort Dix) in New Jersey.
In October, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Sean “Combs” Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in May 2028.
