Elle Fanning took a nostalgic look back at her Hollywood beginnings, from the Wild Kids movie premiere she attended as a child to her most ambitious project yet, Predator: Badlands.

While walking the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of her new sci-fi action film last week, the 27-year-old told PEOPLE that she and her sister, Dakota Fanning, reminisced about their early days in the spotlight.

“Remember back then when there were kids’ premieres? They were amazing, there were elephants, and it was crazy,” Elle recalled with a laugh.

“I remember going to those with my sister. I’d get my little outfit ready and walk down the red carpet. I’ve always loved fashion, so I loved those premieres in the early 2000s.”

The Great actress also fondly remembered attending Jamie Lee Curtis' annual Halloween charity bash in Santa Monica, saying she still enjoys dressing up for Halloween.

Discussing about Predator: Badlands and her character, she said, “This is the furthest set into the future of any Alien or Predator film.”

“The synths I played were the most advanced we’ve seen so far. Thia’s personality is big, emotional, and surprisingly funny, you’ve never seen a synth with this much humor before.”

Predator: Badlands is now playing in cinemas.
