Prince William speaks on being transparent with kids about Kate’s health

Prince William has opened up about how he and Princess Kate helped their children understand her cancer diagnosis during a candid TV interview during his trip to Brazil.

During his chat with presenter Luciano Huck, the 43-year-old Prince of Wales gave a rare look into how his family discussed difficult conversations surrounding health.

He explained that the Royal couple believed in being completely open with their children Prince George, aged 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, about Kate’s health challenges as well as their grandfather King Charles.

Speaking with the Brazilian host from the Domingão programme, he shared, "Every family goes through difficult times and faces challenges together. How you deal with those moments makes all the difference."

His remarks stand out as a rare acknowledgement of the emotional toll illness has placed on the Wales family and how they are coping with it.

"We decided to tell our children everything, both the good news and the bad. We explain to them why certain things happen and why they might feel upset," William further added.

Continuing, "Many questions might come up without answers, I think all parents go through that. There's no rulebook for being a parent, and we chose to talk about everything."
