Morgan Freeman admits his ‘acting appetite’ has ‘dimmed’
'The appetite is still there. I will concede that it’s dimmed a little,' Freeman says
Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman admits that after more than six decades in Hollywood, his enthusiasm for acting has lessened slightly but he’s not ready to retire.
Speaking to The Guardian, Freeman said, “The appetite is still there. I will concede that it’s dimmed a little. But not enough to make a serious difference.”
He added that thoughts of retirement briefly cross his mind, but an offer for a new role quickly changes that thought.
“Sometimes the idea of retirement would float past me, but as soon as my agent says there’s a job… the whole thing just boils back into where it was yesterday,” he said.
Freeman’s career began on stage in the 1960s and later included the children’s TV series The Electric Company. He rose to international fame with iconic films like Driving Miss Daisy, The Shawshank Redemption, and Million Dollar Baby.
