The royal family, led by King Charles, have recorded their message for Armistice Day, November 11.

Shared via the royal family’s official Instagram, the message included in the caption read, “On #ArmisticeDay we remember the service and sacrifice of all those who lost their lives during war.”

The caption further included a quote, inscribed on the Kohima epitaph, which read, “When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.”

For the record, the Royal British Legion’s official website describes Armistice Day as “an agreement to end the fighting of the First World War as a prelude to peace negotiations” which began at 11am on November 11, 2018.

It was further revealed, “This year the National Memorial Arboretum will broadcast their annual Armistice Day Service of Remembrance, live from the Armed Forces Memorial.”

Recently, senior members of the royal family had marked their attendance at the Remembrance Sunday parade on November 9. While for Armistice Day, it was reported that Prince William has additionally recorded a message about the importance of remembering British and Commonwealth troops’ sacrifices in the line of duty.
