'Marty Supreme' trailer: Timothée Chalamet transforms into table tennis legend
'Marty Supreme' is slated for release on Christmas
Timothée Chalamet has returned to bring glory to the big screen.
A24 has dropped a thrilling trailer for Josh Safdie's sports drama Marty Supreme, where the 29-year-old actor plays a prodigy pursuing greatness.
Set in the 1950s, Marty Supreme follows its namesake, Marty Mauser, as he chases his dreams of becoming a table-tennis champion.
The film is reportedly a fictionalised account of the real-life Marty Reisman, who won five world championship medals in table tennis.
The trailer, released on Tuesday, November 11, starts with a discussion between Timothée and Gwyneth Paltrow's character, Kay Stone, with whom Marty is romantically involved.
She asks Marty about his plans for the future and his job.
"I live with the confidence that if I believe in myself, the money will follow," he states.
When Kay further questions what will happen if that doesn’t work out, Marty replies, “That doesn't even enter my consciousness."
Moreover, Tyler, The Creator also features in the exciting trailer, portraying Marty’s close friend.
The star-studded cast includes Odessa A’zion, Penn Jillette, Fran Drescher, Kevin O'Leary, Sandra Bernhard and Abel Ferrara.
It is worth noting that Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme is scheduled to release in theaters on Christmas Day.
