A$AP Relli ends legal battle with A$AP Rocky

A$AP Relli recently dropped his lawsuit against A$AP Rocky over the infamous shooting incident that took place in 2021.

For the unversed, the former A$AP Mob collaborators, who were childhood friends as well, had been set to square off at a civil trial in early 2026.

In this regard, the 36-year-old rapper’s lawyer told Billboard that he is instead "focusing on rebuilding his life", however, he is still moving forward with a defamation lawsuit against Rocky, seeking damages for harm caused to his reputation ⁴ ².

"At this point, he's ready to simply move on from the shooting," his lawyer explained, adding, "The ordeal has been a nightmare for him, and the statements calling him a 'liar' and worse effectively eliminated his chances of a career in the industry."

Rocky and the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, were involved in a now-infamous altercation near a Hollywood hotel in November 2021.

According to Relli, the Praise the Lord rapper fired a handgun at him twice during the argument.

While Rocky claims it was a prop gun filled with blanks. The partner of Rihanna was acquitted of felony assault charges in February 2025.

A$AP Relli's decision to drop the lawsuit against A$AP Rocky comes after a judge urged him to consider settling the case.
