‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ drops first teaser, reuniting Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway

The Devil Wears Prada 2 finally offered fans a first glimpse of its long-awaited sequel on Wednesday morning.

The short clip opens with Anne Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs stepping into an elevator after Meryl Streep’s iconic Miranda Priestly, who says: “Took you long enough.”

According to Variety, the sequel reunites the original stars including Streep, Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci and shifts focus to Priestly’s perspective as the formidable fashion editor navigates the challenges of a fading print industry.

The cast also includes Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, and B.J. Novak.

Inspired by Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, the first film followed Andy, a recent journalism graduate who gets a demanding assistant job at a high-fashion magazine led by Priestly.

Directed by returning filmmaker David Frankel, the film is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
