In a remarkable development, Tencent has reported a strong 15% year-on-year revenue growth for the third quarter, powered by booming demand for AI tools and gaming services.

The Chinese tech giant said its performance in advertising and social media also played a key role in lifting overall sales.

Tencent’s core business, including gaming, marketing, and social media, generated nearly CNY 96 billion, marking a 16% increase from last year.

Renowned titles like Delta Force and VALORANT Mobile helped domestic gaming revenue rise 15%, while international gaming surged 43% to CNY 20.8 billion.

The company has credited this jump to strong performance from Clash Royale, Dying Light: The Beast, and its subsidiary Supercell.

Moreover, investments in AI have also paid off for Tencent, especially in ad targeting, coding, and game development.

CEO Ma Huateng said the company’s upgraded AI model, HunYuan, has improved its math and science capabilities, further strengthening its technology ecosystem.

Moreover, cloud and fintech services added another boost, with financial revenues rising 10% to CNY 58.2 billion.

As Tencent continues to expand its AI and cloud businesses globally, the firm’s latest results underscore how AI is becoming a key engine for revenue growth and long-term competitiveness.
