Buckingham Palace came alive with grace and glamour as Queen Camilla welcomed guests to honour the 75 years of the English National Ballet’s artist legacy, and unwavering spirit of inclusion.

As a Patron, the 78-year-old Monarch wholeheartedly opened the doors of the Palace’s Centre Room to the English National Ballet’s dancers, staff, and supporters, honouring both their creative brilliance and their mission to to make dance more accessible to a wider demographic.

During Tuesday’s, November 11, event, the Queen consort of the United Kingdomno met with some of ballet’s most notable figures, including the company’s Artistic Director, Aaron S Watkin, and its Chairperson, Sir Rupert Gavin, who each offered remarks reflecting on the company’s past and future.

The extravagant evening featured a special and exciting performance of The Dying Swan by Principal Ballerina Sangeun Lee, whose graceful and quite emotive interpretation earned heartfelt applause.

Camilla then also greeted Sangeun Lee, veteran broadcaster and dance advocate Angela Rippon, a former chair of the English National Ballet, and choreographer Dame Arlene Phillips.

She also gladly interacted with participants from the company's Dance for Parkinson’s and ENBYouthCo programmes, which focuses on making dance more accessible to diverse communities.
