Prince William stepped into an unexpected Royal duty this week, and it’s quite casual.

The Prince of Wales travelled to Cornwall on Thursday to officially open a new access road for Mousehole Association Football Club (AFC).

The project was completed after William learned that the local team struggled to reach their pitch due to a narrow, pothole-ridden road.

To support the club, the soccer-lover prince coordinated with partner businesses to fund and complete the road at no expense to Mousehole AFC.

The newly-built road now provides smoother access and expanded parking, enabling Mousehole AFC to host sporting, social, and community events more easily.

It also reduces congestion around the nearby village and creates a great facility for both players and residents.

Moreover, William said earlier this year that sharing the joy of sports with his children, especially Prince George, creates “memories that truly matter.”

"I want George to experience a night out away from home in a big European competition," William told TNT Sports, referring to Aston Villa's first European quarterfinal.

"I hope it's not 43 years until the next time it happens, but I think those memories are really important to create, and to bring him along tonight is a big deal for me."
