Ariana Grande finally reveals why she ditched her blonde hair

After dedicating three years of her life as a blonde, Ariana Grande has finally revealed why she ditched the look for brunette locks once again.

Before the highly anticipated sequel Wicked: For Good, set to release on November 21, the 32-year-old actress and singer stunned fans with a return to brunette, marking her first darker look in years.

During her candid conversation with Entertainment Tonight, the Wicked star, who starred as Glinda in the musical, reflected on her decision to make such a drastic change to her appearance.

"It's fun to play with the storytelling on the press tour," she shared, before going on to explain how she wanted to take a different approach to styling and her looks this time compared to before.

"With the first (Wicked) press tour, I wanted to celebrate Glinda in a more on-the-nose way, and be an extension of her and extend the time with her through clothes, through the blonde and through everything," the Dangerous Woman hitmaker said.

Continuing, "Now I can show up as the actress who played her and play into the darker tones of the movie. It's fun to play with hair and makeup and fashion."

Ariana sent fans into a major frenzy after revealing in an Instagram post on October 29, that she had brought back her iconic brunette look.

"It's good to see me, isn’t it?" she penned in the captions.

Admirers quickly took to the comments, addressing her new look with one user saying, "Another moment for the history book."

"The cutest," another penned.
