Michael Jackson's daughter Paris faces setback in legal battle over late father's estate
Paris Jackson has been embroiled in legal fight with Michael Jackson's estate lawyers since July 2025
Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson's attempt to challenge the executors managing her father’s vast estate recently faced a major hurdle.
As reported by PEOPLE, a court in Los Angeles court ruled against her, siding with executors of Jackson's estate, John Branca and John McClain.
Moreover, the judge also ordered her to pay some of the estate's legal fees.
The court's decision in the model and actress' case unsettled on California's anti-SLAPP statute, which protects individuals and entities from lawsuits that aim to chill their right to petition the court or engage in other protected activities.
The latest ruling disposes of a portion of the 27-year-old musician's filing.
However, the King of Pop’s daughter has vowed to continue fighting for transparency and fair treatment, stating via publication, "This order is limited to minor procedural issues and does not change the facts: the pattern of behavior displayed by the executors and their attorneys raises significant red flags, and Paris will continue working to ensure her family is treated fairly. We will be submitting an updated filing shortly.”
Her dispute with her later father’s estate revolves around her concerns over the management and transparency of the estate's finances.
The 27-year-old actress, in her legal filing, raised questions about "irregular payments" and "premium payouts" made to attorneys and others.
For the unversed, Paris Jackson has received a total of $65 million from her father's estate since his death in 2009.
