Ariana Grande’s scary fan attack in Singapore marks major development
The ‘Positions’ singer was attacked by a fan in Singapore on November 13
Ariana Grande’s recent encounter with a fan at the premiere of her forthcoming film, Wicked: For Good, in Singapore, has taken a new turn.
On Friday, November 24, the BBC reported that the 33-year-old singer’s attacker, identified as an Australian man named Johnson Wen, was charged by a Singapore court with being a public nuisance.
He is likely to face up to three months in jail, a fine of $2,000, and both deportation and a ban from Singapore.
This major update comes shortly after Johnson jumped on Ariana during her appearance to promote her upcoming movie on Thursday, November 13, leaving her visibly disturbed by the altercation.
In the viral clip, the Victorious alum was seen being protected by her Wicked co-star, Cynthia Erivo, who berated the security guards to step up.
According to Johnson’s Instagram handle, Pyjama Man, he often posts about getting close to celebrities at various events.
He has previously found his way onstage at concerts of Katy Perry, the Weeknd, and the Chainsmokers.
Grande has yet to respond to this concerning matter.
On the professional front, Wicked: For Good, starring Ariana Grande, is slated to release in theaters on November 21, 2025.
