Prince Harry, Buckingham Palace clash over Canada trip miscommunication
The Duke of Sussex took a two-day trip to Toronto from November 5 to 6
Prince Harry and Buckingham Palace have once again been embroiled in a miscommunication clash.
As reported by GBNews, communication has once again broken down between the Duke of Sussex and the royal family.
The 41-year-old prince’s office insisted that both Buckingham and Kensington Palaces were notified in advance of his Canada visit, but royal aides deny any such claims.
The situation unfolded as Prince William embarked on a five-day visit to Brazil, during which Harry’s team announced he would travel to Toronto to mark “remembrancetide.”
The Duke’s office told reporters that the Palace was informed “as a courtesy” prior to the public announcement of the trip.
According to The Times, neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace received any such message.
When reporters asked Harry’s office who received the courtesy warning and when, they simply declined to respond.
Some thought the notice was meant to show royal approval for the duke’s military trip, but the palaces revealed they had received no message.
One insider called the situation “a bit rum” and said that neither royal household appeared to have been notified beforehand.
During his two-day visit, the father of two met with soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, of which Queen Camilla is Colonel-in-Chief.
The update comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash on November 8.
