The ‘Grown Ups’ actor married his wife in June 2003
Adam Sandler recently opened up about the real dynamic of his relationship with wife Jackie Sandler, after 22 years of marriage.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine on November 11, at the premiere of his new film Jay Kelly, the 59-year-old actor credited his spouse for their strong and unbreakable bond.
“We're very close. We like to talk, like to laugh, like to have fun, and like to think about things and take care of our kids,” Adam said of his connection with Jackie.
The Happy Gilmore actor noted that his appreciation for both his career and relationship has grown significantly with time.
“I'm just more thankful than I've ever been,” he said.
Sandler added, “Happy I got to do this life, happy for the people who've been with me through all of it. My whole family’s always been great to me. My wife and I talk about stuff, what to do and what’s next, and it’s just been a very cool life.”
For those unversed, the couple first met on the set of Big Daddy in 1999, where Jackie appeared in a cameo as a waitress.
Adam Sandler and Jackie Sandler tied the knot in Malibu, June 2003, and share two daughters: Sadie, born in 2006, and Sunny, born in 2008.
